The information below, regarding the use of cookies on this website, is provided to the user/navigator in implementation of the provision of the Guarantor for the protection of personal data of the "Guidelines cookie and other tracking tools" of 10 June 2021 (Published in the Official Gazette No. 163 of 9 July 2021) and in compliance with art. 13 of the GDPR (EU General Data Protection Regulation No. 679/2016).

COOKIES

Cookies are usually strings of text that websites (so-called Publishers, or "first parties") visited by the user or different sites or web servers (so-called "third parties") position and archive - directly, in the case of publishers and indirectly, i.e. through them, in the case of "third parties" - within a terminal device available to the user.

The terminals referred to are, for example, a computer, a tablet, a smartphone, or any other device capable of storing information. Already today, and even more so in the future, among them should also be included the so-called IoT (Internet of Things) devices, which are designed to connect to the network and each other to provide services of various kinds, not necessarily limited to mere communication.

The software for browsing the Internet and the functioning of these devices, such as browsers, can store cookies and then transmit them again to the sites that generated them during a subsequent visit by the same user, thus maintaining memory of their previous interaction with one or more websites.

The information encoded in cookies may include personal data, such as an IP address, a username, a unique identifier or an e-mail address, but may also contain non-personal data, such as language settings or information on the type of device that a person is using to browse the site.

Cookies can therefore perform important and different functions, including monitoring sessions, storing information on specific configurations regarding users accessing the server, facilitating the use of online content, etc. They can, for example, be used to keep track of items in an online shopping cart or information used to fill out a computer form.

Cookies and, to a large extent, other tracking tools may have different characteristics from a temporal point of view and therefore be considered based on their duration (session or permanent), or from a subjective point of view (depending on whether the publisher acts independently or on behalf of the "third party").

The classification that responds to the ratio of the law and therefore also to the needs of personal protection, is the one that is based, ultimately, on macro-categories:

• technical cookies, used for the sole purpose of "carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communication network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of a service of the information society explicitly requested by the contractor or by the user to provide this service" (see Article 122, paragraph 1 of the Code);
• profiling cookies, used to trace specific actions or recurring behavioral patterns in the use of the functionalities offered (patterns) back to specific subjects, identified or identifiable, for the purpose of grouping the different profiles within homogeneous clusters of different amplitudes, so that it is possible for the owner, among other things, also to modulate the provision of the service in an increasingly personalized way beyond what is strictly necessary for the provision of the service, as well as to send targeted advertising messages, i.e. in line with the preferences expressed by the user while browsing the network.
• monitoring or "analytics" cookies Analytics cookies are used to collect statistical information, in aggregate or otherwise, on the number of users accessing the Site and on how they visit the Site itself. The user's consent is required if these are third-party analytics cookies that allow the user's IP address to be identified. Otherwise, when the conditions listed below are met, they may be equated with technical cookies and it will not be necessary to obtain the user's consent (as indicated by the guidelines of 10 June 2021 by the Personal Data Protection Authority). In particular, it is required that a) the cookies are used only to produce aggregate statistics and in relation to a single site or a single mobile application, b) at least the fourth part of the IP address is masked, c) the third parties refrain from combining the analytics cookies, thus minimized, with other processing or from transmitting them to further third parties.

Cookies can also be classified as:

• session cookies, which are deleted immediately when the browsing browser is closed (for example, Internet Explorer, Safari, Google Chrome, etc.);
• persistent cookies, which - unlike session cookies - remain within the device, continuing to operate even after the browser is closed and until a certain period of time has elapsed;
• first-party cookies, i.e. cookies generated and managed directly by the operator of the website on which the user is browsing;
• third-party cookies, which are generated and managed by parties other than the operator of the website on which the user is browsing (usually by virtue of a contract between the website owner and the third party).

When connecting for the first time to any page of the site, the user will see a banner appear with summary information on the use of cookies.

The owner guarantees that, by default, only the data necessary to achieve specific purposes are processed, thus limiting the processing to the minimum necessary to allow users to browse the site; consequently, at the time of the user's first access, no cookie or other tracking tool may be used.

A banner will appear, of adequate size to the different types of devices that can be used, which, while not preventing the maintenance of the default settings, will allow those who wish to do so to express their consent.

The user always has the possibility to revoke and/or modify all or part of the consent already expressed and the owner cannot ask again to communicate their preferences for at least 6 months following the indication of the same by the user.
